Which? magazine has rated Mevagissey as the best seaside town in Cornwall. Mevagissey is the closest fishing port to Pentewan – just 2 miles along the Coastal Path.
Next is Fowey – a short drive in the other direction, and third is St Mawes at the tip of the Roseland Peninsular – well worth a visit – the Roseland, the area West of Pentewan stretching as far as the Fal estuary, is our favourite part of Cornwall.
From Pentewan, these are traditional stamping grounds for your enjoyment, along with Charlestown, home of the tall ships, which is brimming with restaurants, as is Mevagissey.
